Wud

Antecedentes

Wud es un fabricante de pisos y puertas, especializado en el uso del bambú y otros tipos de maderas tropicales. La empresa es  totalmente nueva por lo que necesitan una marca diferenciadora.

Buscamos representar un cocepto de lujo en sus productos  con una materia prima única en Ecuador. El desarrollo del naming se originó jugando con la sintaxis de la palabra madera en ingles “Wood” que pueda ser entendida con facilidad  en castellano, por ello la decisión final resultó en WUD. La forma del isotipo es la letra W, dispuesta gráficamente de manera que representamos los troncos del árbol de Bambú entrelazados. La cromática Oro y Tierra nos da la sobriedad que buscamos.

Background

Wud is a manufacturer of floors and doors made of wood, especialized in the use of bamboo and other tropical types, which are rare material. The company is new so they need new corporate image.

The client wants to have a luxury image to show that the wood they are working with is a prime time material. The entire world of this company turns around the wood, so we want to find a way to use the word, but to make it simpler and easier to implement, the solution we found is to write it as its pronuntiation sounds, WUD. The shape is only the W, it looks like it is formed by wood planks, and complemented with gold and dark brown colors, which give the final touch to the luxury image we were looking for.
